Our Mission:
The mission of Kingswood Montessori Academy of Homestead, Florida, is to provide our students with a nurturing and safe environment conducive to learning, where they can develop a desire to be challenged, a sense of independence and self-confidence, and most important, a love of learning that will set a strong foundation for their future.

Discovering Montessori
It was during the course of finishing her Harvard studies in child psychology that Dayami Rodriguez discovered the Montessori philosophy, a method that made sense because of its humanity and simplicity. Immediately we set our goal to bring this method to our students. In 1999 we founded Royal Palm Montessori Academy in Boca Raton, FL. Since than, we have instilled Dr. Montessori's method in thousands of children. We have the privilege of working alongside a dedicated and knowledgeable staff that makes this possible, as well as the support of wonderful families that share and respect our vision. RPMA is accreditated by APPLE and has received the Gold Seal standard of Excellence in Education.

Our story:
In 1987, our family, guided by our mother's dream to be able to educate young children opened our first school in Miami, FL. Her passion was always fueled by the desire to play an integral part in shaping young lives and minds.
It truly was a natural progression for me to follow my mother's mission. After receiving my Bachelor's degree in Communication from the University of Miami. I had the opportunity to work as a journalist for both major Spanish networks. My passion was always clear, to highlight the injustices being made against children. I became a student and an observer of the child's needs and in that role fell in love with what was always natural to me : educating and serving children's best interests. -
Family
Our schools are our homes. As children we learned our first lessons there from our mother.
Today as mothers ourselves our own children and students are benefiting from over three decades of experience in educating children. We believe in Dr. Montessori's vision because we have seen its benefits in our own children.
It is our goal that you feel that Kingswood is also your home.
We hope to build a relationship based on trust and respect which will ultimately benefit your child.

Born seventh in a family of ten children, Jamey has been surrounded by young children all of her life. Combined with her extraordinary teaching skills and warm, nurturing personality, she has created truly excellent and welcoming our ChildIt centre.

She has never tired of the “ah-ha” moments and the pride that swells in a little one who is learning to do something for the first time. A great teacher is someone who is thoughtful, creative and dedicated to learning what makes each one of their students special!
